Current research

Investigating plant and fungus derived antimicrobials for aerosol application
For thousands of years, plants and microorganisms have served as a rich source of bioactive compounds and hold enormous potential for use in many industries. While natural product discovery efforts have significantly dwindled due to advancements in high-throughput synthetic chemistry, bioactives from nature remain as an attractive source of novel compounds with a wide range of application. In collaboration with Ecomist, my research aims to investigate antimicrobial compounds derived from natural sources with the prospective application as aerosols for air sanitization.
