About the Metabolomics Lab

The Metabolomics Laboratory, led by Dr Silas Villas-Boas, is based in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Auckland.

The Metabolomics Laboratory carries out research on microbial physiology with focus on metabolic mechanisms in living cells. Current research areas include microbial pigments and bioactive metabolites, bioconversion of food by-products and the effect of sound on microbial metabolism.
